Part of Marisa C. Sánchez contributions to second shelf are a series of interviews with Vancouver-based artists and curators, whose feminist practices having engaged questions on history, absence, visibility, collaboration, and re-enactment. Currently, four of the six interviews for second shelf have been conducted with artists Guadalupe Martinez, Carol Sawyer, and Evann Siebens, and with curator Denise Ryner. Each one generously offered their time and insights into their distinctive practices and shared some of the books that have informed their thinking. In turn, their recommendations for publications have also entered into second shelf.
